Newsboy's horse racing selections for Tuesday's four meetings, including Brighton nap

SHAW PARK (2.55) can make the trip to the South Downs worthwhile for Nottinghamshire-based trainer Scott Dixon by scoring a hat-trick of wins at Brighton in the Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap over a mile.

Dixon returns to the track with the five-year-old a week after a length and a quarter success over Dream Of Mischief over seven furlongs, having won earlier in the month over the same distance – on both occasions with apprentice jockey Mikkel Mortensen in the saddle.

The son of Aclaim carries a 5lb penalty but the pair have the beating of their five rivals, with five-time course and distance winner Uncle Dick being the likely threat.

Over the jumps at Stratford, NIBRAS GOLD (8.10) looks the best bet in the Visit racingtv.com Handicap Chase over two miles and three and a half furlongs.

The six-year-old, trained by David Pipe, was a useful hurdler prior to making his debut over the larger obstacles at Ffos Las 33 days ago over two miles.

He led that day before being touched off by three-quarters of a length on the run to the line, giving 6lb to the winner Bob Bob Ricard, who has won comfortably since.
