"Russian President has more important works to do": Kremlin's Stance on Biden-Trump Debate
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared today that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not watch Thursday night's U.S. presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Peskov emphasized that Russian interest in US electoral politics remains minimal, dismissing any notion that Putin would alter his time schedule towards such events due to the time difference between the two nations. Pesco underscored that internal US electoral matters do not rank among Russia's diplomatic priorities. He clarified that while Putin's office will review the candidates statements in due course, Moscow refrains from publicly assessing the outcome of the US debates to avoid indifference accusations. Shifting focus to domestic affairs, the Trump Biden debate has garnered widespread attention across the United States. Political analysts are characterizing the event as a significant challenge for President Biden, with concerns raised over his performance and mental acuity. According to a Post debate CNN Flash poll, 67% of registered voters who watched believe that former President Trump outperformed Biden. In related history, the Trump administration was dodged by allegations of collusion with Russia during the 2016 election, a narrative that dominated headlines but was ultimately debunked by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. Critics contend that the Russiagate narrative was fabricated by Democratic leaders to explain Hillary Clinton's electoral defeat, Russia and Ukraine. If we had a real president, the president that knew that was respected by Putin, he would have never, he would have never invaded Ukraine. A lot of people are dead right now, much more than people know. You know, they talk about numbers. You can double those numbers, maybe triple those numbers. He did nothing to stop it. In fact, I think he encouraged Russia from going in. I tell you what happened. He was so bad with Afghanistan. It was such a horrible embarrassment, most embarrassing moment in the history of our country that when Putin watched that and he saw the incompetence that he should, he should have fired those generals like I fired the one that you mentioned. And so he's got no love lost, but he should have fired those generals. No general got fired for the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, Afghanistan, where we left billions of dollars of equipment behind. We lost 13 beautiful soldiers and 38 soldiers were obliterated. And by the way, we left people behind too. We left American citizens behind. When Putin saw that, he said, you know what, I think we're going to go in and maybe take my this is was his dream. I talked to him about it, his dream, the difference. He never would have invaded Ukraine. Never #3 we found ourselves in a situation where if you take a look at what Trump did in Ukraine, he's this guy told Ukraine, told Trump, do whatever you want and do whatever you want. And that's exactly what Trump did to Putin. Encourage him, do whatever you want. And he went in and listen to what he said when he went in, it was going to take Kiev in five days, remember, because it's part of the old Soviet Union. That's what he wanted to re establish Kiev. And he in fact didn't do it at all. He didn't wasn't able to get it done. And they've lost over they've lost thousands and thousands of troops.
