Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi (left) and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla said that the speaker has no control over the mics of the members of the parliament in both Houses after the opposition alleged the turning off of the mic of Congress MP and LoP Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing the MPs, the Lok Sabha speaker said, “Outside the House, some MPs level allegations that the Speaker switches off the mic. The control of the mic is not in the hands of the one who sits on the Chair.”
