Warriors End up With Second-Round Pick After All
The Golden State Warriors traded out of the draft entirely when they acquired Lindy Waters III from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for the 52nd overall pick.
That pick eventually made its way to the Portland Trail Blazers, and then it came full circle when the Warriors acquired it for cash considerations. And with that pick, the Warriors selected center Quinten Post out of Boston College.

Post fits the mold of what the Warriors would want at the center position, as he can bring it on both ends of the court.
He averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per game in his senior season at Boston College, and he also tallied just under two blocks per game. His shooting percentages also stand out, as he shot 51 percent from the field and a very impressive 43 percent from beyond the arc.
The Warriors drafted Trayce Jackson-Davis in the second round of last year's draft, and he had a very solid rookie year. The team looks to be building for the future that comes after the "Splash Bros", and they seem to be starting with their front court.
It was thought that the Warriors were not going to draft anyone in this year's draft, but they ended up with what could be one of the building blocks for the future of the franchise.
