Shares of Titan Company Ltd traded ex-dividend today following the announcement of the final dividend for FY24. Earlier the board of directors of the company declared a dividend of Rs 11 per equity share for the eligible shareholders.

“... the Board of Directors at its Meeting held on 3rd May 2024 have recommended a Dividend of Rs. 11.00 /- per Equity Share of Rs. 1/- each (1100%) for the Financial Year ended 31st March 2024 and the said Dividend will be payable post approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company,” Titan said in an exchange filing.

Titan dividend 2024 record date

The company in an exchange filing said that “The dividend of Rs 11 per equity share of Rs 1 each (i.e., 1100%), if declared by the Members at the AGM, will be paid subject to deduction of income tax at source (TDS) on or after Tuesday, 16th July 2024...”

Titan dividend history

Last year, the Tata Group company paid a dividend of Rs 10 per equity share. In July 2021 and 2022, the company declared dividend of Rs 4 and Rs 7.5. Similarly, in 2019 and 2020, Titan paid dividend of Rs 5 and Rs 4 per equity sahre in July and August, respectively.

Titan witnessed a 5% increase in consolidated profit after taxes to Rs 771 crore in the March quarter. In the previous fiscal year, the company made Rs 736 crore in profit after tax (PAT). Additionally, the company's total income increased to Rs 11,472 crore during the period under review, up from Rs 9,419 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022-23.

For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, the company reported a consolidated PAT of Rs 3,496 crore, up from Rs 3,274 crore in FY23.

On Thursday, shares of Titan opened at Rs 3372.75 per share and closed at Rs 3379.00 per share, up 0.19% from the previous close of Rs 3372.65 per share on BSE.
