Suresh Gopi Joins Gaganachari Universe With Sci-fi Film Maniyan Chittappan. Poster Out

Maniyan Chittappan has been directed by Arun Chandu.

Suresh Gopi is known for his versatile performances across a spectrum of roles in Indian cinema, predominantly Malayalam films. He is now gearing up for a science-fiction film titled Maniyan Chittappan. Directed by Arun Chandu, a motion poster of this film was unveiled on Instagram on June 26. The poster introduces Suresh Gopi as Maniyan Chittappan – a ‘crazy mad scientist’ and ‘wanderer of the cosmos’. It shows the laboratory’s visual where Suresh Gopi is dressed in a space scientist’s outfit. He dons a heavily bearded look, messy hair, moustache, black shades and a jacket. Produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films, Maniyan Chittappan is reported to be a spin-off from Arun Chandu’s earlier dystopian sci-fi mockumentary film, Gaganachari. Maniyan Chittappan will also be a part of filmmaker Arun’s cinematic universe, which he created through Gaganachari.

Actor Gokul Suresh, Suresh Gopi’s son played a key role in Gaganachari produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films and Krishand Films. This film also starred Anarkali Marikar, Ganesh Kumar, Aju Varghese and others. Arun Chandu and Siva Sai, who wrote Gaganachari’s script have once again teamed up to write Maniyan Chittappan’s script. Sankar Sharma, who scored Gaganachari’s music, has also been roped in to curate the tunes of Maniyan Chittappan.

Suresh Gopi’s journey in the entertainment industry started as a child artist in 1965 with the film Odeyil Ninnu. Since then, he has acted in many films, earning critical acclaim and a substantial fan base. The 66-year-old actor, who has acted in more than 250 films, has also acted in a few Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films.

Throughout his illustrious career spanning decades, he has garnered numerous accolades, including a National Award for his 1997 film Kaliyattam. Besides the silver screen, he has also made significant contributions to television, hosting several popular shows.

Suresh Gopi also entered the political world in 2016. His foray into politics as a Bharatiya Janata Member of Parliament’s Member of Parliament representing Kerala in this year’s Lok Sabha elections added another dimension to his public persona.

Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul Suresh has followed in his footsteps and tried to carve an acting career. He has, however, not seen substantial success in the film industry.
