Jason Kelce explains why he was 'literally tearing up' while attending 'Eras Tour' with wife Kylie

Taylor Swift’s London shows have received praise from Hollywood stars, British royalty, and now, from Jason Kelce.

Jason Kelce talked to his brother, Travis Kelce, on the June 26 episode of their "New Heights" podcast, about their experiences attending Swift's concerts across the pond, which Jason Kelce's wife, Kylie Kelce, also attended.

"It was insanely impressive. Obviously, Taylor's an amazing singer, songwriter, but then to be able to go out there and be a performer at that level. She was up there for like, three and a half hours, four hours?" Jason Kelce asked, as Travis Kelce said she sang 45 songs.

Jason Kelce joked that he would have had to change into new clothes if he "did what she did for one song."

"Man, I'm tired of drinking these beers and Taylor's still singing! This is amazing," Jason Kelce added. "Can't feel my hand anymore because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation ... it was an awesome experience. Obviously the Swifties make it a very memorable experience."

The former Philadelphia Eagles player then shared two parts of the concert that he loved, starting with Swift handing a young fan the hat she wears while performing her song "22."

"Dude, I've never cried at a f------ concert, and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl's entire ... I'm going to tear up right now," Jason Kelce said. "It was f------ so special."

He also added that he loved the acoustic set of the performance.

"Dude, it's just her, a guitar and 90,000 people. And obviously, the 90,000 people are all singing the song, so she does have some support," Jason Kelce said. "She's blending from one song to another and like going through it — and the piano at times.

"To be good in front of 90,000 people with just that, I think you have to be amazing," he continued. "You have to, one, have great songs and great lyrics, which she obviously has written and made. And then, two, to be able to perform those seamlessly on the spot, nothing else to hide it. That was the highlight of the evening for me."

He summarized: "You're (with) 90,000 people, but for some reason it feels like you're in a bar just listening to somebody play on a piano."

The brothers discussed viral moments from the shows, like meeting Prince William and two of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as Jason Kelce carrying beer with his teeth.

"You can do anything with your teeth, people don't know this," Jason Kelce said. "That's how most animals actually utilize ... they carry them in their mouths. So I'm just reverting back to my pre-opposable thumbs evolution characteristic."

As for meeting Prince William, Jason Kelce said he had never felt emasculated in his life, but "that was the closest I've ever been."

"They were wonderful people, and that's what it's about. You know, obviously, they're literally part of a monarchy, royalty," Jason Kelce said. "Hard to be a down to earth human being, I would assume. But came off that way completely."

The brothers also commended Prince William's parenting style.

"Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great, too," Jason Kelce said. "She was so f------ adorable ... I don't know, maybe, because I have three girls now. She had fire to her, she was asking questions. That was the most electric part."

Travis Kelce replied: "I love it when parents ask their kids to be present, be vocal."

The retired NFL star and his wife, Kylie Kelce, attended their very first “Eras Tour” concert on June 21 (and again on June 22) when Swift performed at Wembley Stadium. It was a family affair as Travis Kelce’s brother and sister-in-law joined him to sing along to Swift’s biggest hits and get a warm embrace from their European fans.

Jason Kelce was spotted wearing an arm full of friendship bracelets as he signed “New Heights” hats for concertgoers.

The retired NFL star previously spoke about Travis Kelce’s new level of fame since dating the multi-Grammy winner. He said that “it’s been crazy” to see how his brother and Swift’s romance has taken things “to another level.”

“That’s a whole other side of it,” Jason Kelce said on the “Whiskey Ginger” podcast on June 7. “Kylie and I think we have it bad and then we go hang out with one of them for a second. This is a whole other situation here... You can’t be a normal person at that point.”

The father of three also noted that ever since the 2023 release of their Prime Video documentary “Kelce,” Kylie Kelce was “a little bit uncomfortable” with how much more attention their family was getting.

“Our family’s out there, people know what our kids look like,” he said. “We’ve tried to retract from that a little bit. But I think she enjoys that fact that she gets to go and do charitable outings, she gets to give back to the community, she gets to do clinics with little girls with field hockey.”

When it comes to her brother-in-law’s relationship with Swift, Kylie Kelce told TODAY during an April visit, “If Trav is happy, we’re happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav.”
