NSW Police investigate truck crash at Moorebank, Sydney
A Catholic primary school and 19 vehicles have been damaged after a fully-loaded truck and trailer drove through a major city intersection before coming to a stop in the rubbled school building.
The smash up happened at the intersection of the Nuwarra and Newbridge roads in Moorebank, Sydney, about 1.15pm on Saturday.
The truck hit 19 vehicles before continuing across the footpath and into the grounds of a primary school, the police said, triggering an extensive emergency response.

Photos from the scene show a smashed up window at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary in Moorebank, with a large white truck sitting in rubble.
“The driver was trapped within his cabin for almost 40 minutes before he was released by Fire and Rescue NSW and taken to Liverpool Hospital,” the police said.
It is understood the driver has non life-threatening injuries.

Another two people from damaged vehicles were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Paramedics checked six others at the scene as a precaution.
“The truck will be towed for mechanical examination while the building is being checked for structural damage,” the police said.
Police officers have not yet spoken with the driver.
