ChatGPT is used by 83% of Moderna employees says Kate Cronin, chief brand officer

AI actually help find the vaccine that we used against COVID. We've been using AI at Moderna since I've joined and so our scientists are using it regularly in terms of determining sequences or dosing. And then we've moved on to the organization to other parts in terms of using AI. So 83% of our employees are using ChatGPT on a daily basis. We have more than 700 chat GP TS have been created by employees. From a brand and marketing perspective, we're using AI to create personas. So research personas. So instead of doing a focus group, we have a, an AI persona that we feed information to, to see how that particular stakeholder or group would react. We're using it for content, we're using it for brainstorming partner and we're using it for precision and, and measurement and analytics. So there's a lot of uses for AII think really understanding AI in terms of developing a prompt, understanding what you're trying to get out of it, and making sure that the information that you feed into AI is the right information to help formulate whatever is response or information you're looking for. You know, there are hallucinations. It's gotten much better, but I think it's only as good as the information that you feed into it. And so that's super important and you have to be pretty smart about it. And so I think people are exploring and I think the more you explore and practice with it, the better you get at it. And I'm finding, you know, when we first adopted it over a year ago, a year and a half ago, a lot of our employees were sort of like, well, I'm not going to use this. And now they're using it on a daily basis because they're more comfortable with it and they understand it. And so I think baby steps and learning and exloring is is really the way to go.
