Mom Of WNBA Rookie Moved By Postgame Interaction With Diana Taurasi
The Phoenix Mercury recently welcomed the Los Angeles Sparks to the desert for a Friday night showdown. Diana Taurasi and the Mercury came out on top, defeating the Sparks, 92-78. Following the matchup, Taurasi exchanged some words with Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson, causing Jackson's mother to go on social media and thank the WNBA legend.
"I appreciate. She is soaking it all up... Thanks, Diana Taurasi," said Rickea's Mom on X.
Jackson's mother made sure to take time and thank the league veteran for sharing an interaction with the up-and-coming player. The rookie out of Tennessee finished the game with 14 points and six rebounds.

Jackson's mother seemed extremely grateful, since the 23-year-old may have had the opportunity to pick the brain of one of the greatest women's basketball players ever.
The rookie is averaging 9.8 points and 3.3 rebounds through the Sparks' 4-14 record.
Taurasi will have the chance to speak with another rookie on Sunday, hosting Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever for a primetime matchup.
