Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has “created a contest” with the Albanese Labor government over the practicality of nuclear and renewables, says former prime minister Tony Abbott.

“It’s the first time there has been a serious contest about energy and climate over the last decade,” Mr Abbott told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“This idea we can’t do nuclear when at least 33 other countries do – it’s ridiculous.”
