The newspaper reported on the events in Mombasa where protesters almost breached the state house as they protested the Finance Bill 2024.
They almost closed in through the Mama Ngina Drive when the state law enforcers thwarted their attempts.
Police beat them up as they scattered in different directions.
They would then stone the officers who retaliated with tear gas.
Several officers were injured in the melee.
