Transfer: Chelsea announce departure of two players

Chelsea have announced the departure of two players from the club.

The two players are Ian Maatsen and Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea disclosed this in separate statements via their website on Friday.

Maatsen joined Premier League rival Aston Villa on a permanent transfer, while Ziyech joined Galatasaray.

“Ian Maatsen has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Aston Villa,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.

“We thank Ian for all his efforts at Stamford Bridge and wish him well for the future.

“Hakim Ziyech has completed a permanent transfer to Galatasaray.

“Ziyech initially joined the Turkish giants on loan last summer but has now departed Chelsea on a permanent basis.

“We thank Hakim for his efforts during his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.”
