Google TV:n etusivulle luvassa uudistusta

Google TV:n tukifoorumilla kerrotaan etusivun saavan seuraavien kuukausien aikana uudistuneen ulkonäön. Uudistus näkyy etenkin Omat sovellukset -rivillä. Luvassa on uudet pyöreät kuvakkeet sovelluksille. Nämä ovat pienempiä kuin nykyiset suorakulmiot, joka samalla tarkoittaa, että rivillä näkyy kerralla enemmän sovelluksia. Lisäksi Omat sovellukset -rivin päähän lisätään “järjestä” ja “lisää sovelluksia” painikkeet. Nämä korvaavat nykyisen “Näytä kaikki” -painikkeen. 9to5Googlen mukaan ei kuitenkaan ole varmaa, mikä toiminto “lisää sovelluksia” -painikkeeseen on yhdistetty. Se saattaa avata kaikki sovellukset tai sitten Google Play -kaupan. Googlen mukaan uudistus saapuu jo nyt käyttäjien laitteille, mutta saattaa mennä jopa kuukausia ennen kuin se on saapunut kaikille Google TV -laitteille. Google TV -laitteita ovat esimerkiksi Chromecast with Google TV ja uudet Nokian televisiot. Android TV -laitteisiin muutos ei vaikuta. Tämä versiota käyttää esimerkiksi Nokia Streaming Box 8010. Google TV saa tasaisesti uusia ominaisuuksia ja päivityksiä nopeuteen. Lisäksi Google tuo erikseen päivitystä sen omaan Chromecast with Google TV -laitteeseen, joka nyt tukee Fast Pair -pikaparitusta.
