Kaizer Chiefs star trains with Sundowns player
We are edging closer to the 2024/2025 DStv Premiership season. Kaizer Chiefs’ Mduduzi Shabalala and Mamelodi Sundowns‘ Neo Maema are proving that.
SHABALALA AND MAEMA HIT THE GYM
Soon after last week’s session that included Sundowns’ Terrence Mashego, Shabalala and Maema have continued this week without the Bafana Bafana star.
As posted by the higly-rated fitness trainer Elias Zwane, Kaizer Chiefs Shabalala and Sundowns’ Maema had another shared session on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Maema is expected to travel to Austria’s for Masandawana’s preseason trip. As for Kaizer Chiefs, a trip to Europe for the same purpose remains a rumour.
KAIZER CHIEFS: EDMILSON DOVE SKIPS PRESEASON TO JOIN MOZAMBIQUE
Football players know the importants of meeting a new coach. Kaizer Chiefs‘ Edmilson Dove has decided to leave that for later.
Instead of joining his teammates to kick off preseason this week, the 29-year-old central defender/left-back has traveled to Gqeberha to join Mozambique’s development side in the COSAFA Cup.
“Obviously, I feel like, as football players, this is probably the highest stages of our careers, being here and representing our nation,” said Dove via SABC Sport.
“It’s not only about myself, but obviously the coach spoke to me, and he told me his ideas and what he was looking for from me, and obviously, I’m more than willing to be here to help.
“Obviously the club situation is a bit tricky, but I think that’s something I’ll give thought to when I go back and rejoin the team,” he added.
NATIONAL TEAM PRIORITY
The Kaizer Chiefs defender concluded to stress that he is always eager to put his national team first ahead of club football.
“You know, every time I’m called upon to represent the national team, we should be willing to say yes and come here and give our all,” Dove added.
“We’re representing more than 30 million Mozambicans, it’s not only about ourselves anymore, as I said. It’s a pride to be here and represent the nation.
“So I’m just one player out of all those the coaches could have selected, that would come here and add value, and I’m hoping we can do well,” the Kaizer Chiefs lefty concluded.
In the meantime, Amakhosi‘s new assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz will continue to assess and lay the foundation with the rest of the squad at Naturena.
