Ontario Place demolition work underway

Demolition efforts ramped up at Ontario Place today as the Ford government's controversial plan for the green space moves forward. The work got underway on the West Island this afternoon. The Ford government is currently redeveloping Ontario Place with plans for a private spa, a new site for the now shuttered Ontario Science Center and a complete overhaul of the Live Nation concert space. The renovations have been met with controversy. One local grassroots organization expressing particular concern for the future of 800 and 50 mature trees on the West Island.
