'This new £12 balm is the perfect alternative to cult-favourite £36 Jones Road blusher'

I'm not usually one for blushers, but I recently tried Jones Road Miracle Balm for the first time, and it was love at first swipe. The dewy balm mixed with the perfect subtle pink (I use the shade Dusty Rose) instantly lifts my complexion, making me look more awake and healthy, especially after a late night or one too many glasses of vino.

So, when I noticed that Glow Hub, a brand best known for its TikTok-famous Scar Slayer Serum, had released something strikingly similar to Miracle Balm but for a fraction of the price, I just had to give it a go.

Good Skin Glaze Glow Balm by Glow Hub is available in three shades and retails for £12 on Glow Hub's own website as well as other outlets like Beauty Bay and ASOS. Encased in an adorable pebble-shaped compact, it's made with moisture-rich oils and sheer pigments, and is meant to be dabbed onto cheeks and lips for a fresh pop of colour, either over foundation or worn solo, reports the Mirror.

Firstly, let's take a moment to appreciate the packaging. Its tactile pebble shape fits snugly in your hand, and opens and closes with a satisfying click. There's also a handy mirror in the lid.

The product itself is also a joy to apply, particularly if you're a fan of cream blushes. It goes on smoothly whether you're using fingers or a brush and blends easily into the skin, providing a light sheen with a hint of colour. It doesn't feel quite as oil-rich as Jones Road's version, which keeps your skin feeling nourished all day.

Glow Hub Glow Balm also comes in fewer shades: just three, compared to the Miracle Balm's impressive 12, although they're all lovely. I gave the shade Brunch, a nude, peachy pink, a go and while it did complement my skin tone, it didn't quite have the immediate beautifying effect that Jones Road's does.

It's also worth mentioning that while Glow Balm is a third of the price of its predecessor, the Jones Road pot does pack a hefty 50g of product compared to Glow Hub's petite 2g.

I won't be ditching my Jones Road favourite anytime soon but I would happily slip Glow Hub's into my handbag for touch-ups on the go. It's also a fab way to test out if you're a fan of a super glowy blush look first without shelling out £36.
