Woman who spent £80 on food shop raging as she finds out what's happened to it

Anyone who has done a food shop in the past year will know how expensive many items have become, so you'll likely meal prep with precision for your family.
When one woman decided to "buy her meat for the month" from the butchers, she came home, placed everything into the fridge, and was going to sort it out putting some stuff into the freezer later on - but unfortunately, that plan was never realised.
The woman explained that her mum had come round to "help" with the kids, but instead, she ended up "running errands for her" and taking "cups of tea" to her - and the final straw came when she nabbed all her meat for her beloved dog.
Her mum brought her mutt round with her, and the dog will only eat "steak, chicken, mince etc", so when her mum opened the fridge to the offerings that she'd purchased from the butchers, she thought she'd struck gold.
"I went to the butcher on the weekend and bought our meat for the month, steaks, whole chickens, lamb leg, chicken breast, meat and even duck breast", she explained on Mumsnet, sharing that the haul had cost her £80.
"Had them in [the] fridge before I could sort and put in freezer", but she was preparing for a "kids' birthday party" so she "was getting kids ready" while her mum packed up. She thought nothing of it, until the next morning.
When she opened the fridge the following day, "all the meat" had "gone" from the fridge. "She thought I bought it for her dog. So now not only got to do a freezer tea for the kids but I've got to rebuy it all", the mum fumed.
She explained that her mum didn't even "offer to replace" what she'd taken, and she "lives too far away to return" the food that she'd taken. "Am I being unreasonable to think this is barmy behaviour? You check before you clean out someone's fridge!"
In the poll, 98% of people reckoned that the woman was not unreasonable to be miffed by what her mum had done, with one writing: "There is absolutely no way she thought you'd bought the meat for the dog."
Another fumed: "She hasn’t fed her dog a month’s worth of meat in the time it took you to set up a children’s party; so she has dog food for a month. Tell her to send you the money."
"What kind of people help themselves to the contents of other people’s fridges without asking first? Mum is a Grade-A cheeky f**ker", someone exclaimed, with others echoing the sentiment, referring to the mum as a "thief".
