Decomposed human body is found at a beach popular with families
Human remains have been discovered at a popular beach on the NSW north coast.
A volunteer found the decomposed body at Jetty Beach in Coffs Harbour just after 10am on Tuesday.
The person was on the beach when they came across bones in the dunes about 10 metres away from a picnic spot.

It's understood the remains may have been there for some time, due to the absence of flesh on them or clothing within the vicinity.
Police are investigating and have urged anyone with information to contact the Coffs-Clarence Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
