Bruce Campbell Remembers Spider-Man Co-Star Randy Savage
Late pro wrestling legend Randy Savage had kind things to say about Bruce Campbell after working with the actor in Spider-Man. With the clip resurfacing on social media, Campbell paid back the kindness.
In Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man movie, which introduced Tobey Maguire in the titular role, Campbell appeared as a pro wrestling organization's ring announcer. Savage also had a guest role as Bonesaw McGraw, a pro wrestler who Maguire's Peter Parker must fight in the ring. A resurfaced clip on X saw Savage praising Campbell before bestowing him the pro-wrestling-like nickname of "Beautiful" Bruce Campbell. After watching the clip on X, Campbell said he felt the same way about the one they call the "Macho Man."

A National Tragedy Altered the First Trailer of 2002's Spider-Man
2002's Spider-Man became a cultural phenomenon and changed comic book movies forever. But a terrible tragedy greatly affected its first trailer.
"Bruce Campbell was doing his 'Mean' Gene Okerlund ring announcing impression, and he did a very, very, very good job. So, we're going to have to give him a nickname: 'Beautiful' Bruce Campbell," Savage said in the video. Campbell responded in a post by saying, "You were beautiful too, Randy."
Randy Savage Is an All-Time Pro Wrestling Great
Along with serving as the spokesperson for Slim Jim, Savage was known as one of the best pro wrestlers of all time after performing in organizations like WWE and WCW. His fame led to movie and television appearances outside of the pro wrestling world, such as his unforgettable role as Bonesaw McGraw in Spider-Man. He also played himself in the wrestling-themed film Ready to Rumble, and had guest roles in TV shows like Dexter's Laboratory, Walker, Texas Ranger, The Weird Al Show, and King of the Hill. Savage died in 2011 at the age of 58.

Campbell would go on to play seemingly different roles in both of Raimi's Spider-Man sequels. He'd later pop up in the MCU as Pizza Poppa in Raimi's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Campbell has since teased that all of his Marvel characters are connected and that fans will find out more in the future, suggesting that he'll be back in the MCU.
"The cameos are like, in the Spider-Man movies -- if you know anything about the multiverse, you know now, retroactively, I'm in the multiverse now because of Doctor Strange," he told ComicBook.com. "I'm not a pizza vendor, OK? That would be a massive mistake to think I'm just a pizza vendor, or an usher, or a ring announcer, or a maître d'. It's called the multiverse, my friend. So, yes, he is the same character, but we don't know who he really is. It has not been revealed yet. I just got off the phone with the guys at Marvel, and we're getting close to finding out."
