'I caught two ghosts in chilling holiday snap and only realised when I got home'
A spooky photo has caused quite the stir online (stock)
A woman has shared an image she took on holiday that she believes shows two ghosts.
Kata Hajdu shared the snap to the Ghosts Caught On Camera group on Facebook, explaining she took it 19 years ago when she was holidaying in Tunisia at the age of 24.
She was with an ex-partner at the time and the pair had decided to stay up late in their hotel. Kata decided to take some images of the hotel, and only noticed something spooky about one of the snaps when she returned home.
She wrote: "I was on holiday with my ex and we stayed up late. There was NOONE around, and I really liked the hotel, so I took some pictures of it. I had a little digital camera, and I saw nothing special in its little screen, only when we got home and uploaded the picture on the computer."
The snap shows a grand staircase and, on the right hand side, a white figure appears to be climbing the steps. Kata added that she believes there are actually two figures in the shot, with the second trailing behind the first but "covered by the column" meaning only the "head" is visible. She shared zoomed in images of both of these supposed figures.
She concluded her post by writing: "I have never shown this to anyone but my close friends and family, and I think it's time... so I hope you enjoy."
Reacting in the comments section, several people said they thought Kata had captured something truly paranormal. One wrote: "I never comment on these but it sure looks like you caught something. Well done."
Another said: "Certainly looks like an apparition." And a third said: "It's one of those strange photos which definitely has a spooky feel to it."
Others said they could only see one figure, with one comment reading: "I can only see one ghost (if it's a ghost) and that is the white one."
However, some weren't convinced at all. One sceptic said: "Often when people say that there was no one there, they don't recall anyone being there, with people who have either entered a shot without being noticed or a photo being snapped just as someone was exiting their field of view.
"With a photo taken in low light and with a digital camera from two decades ago, motion blur becomes far more likely. It's a ghost image due to motion blur but it's not a ghost."
