Anthony Edwards Trending After Justifying Timberwolves-Mavericks Loss
The Minnesota Timberwolves were hit with a blindside punch in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. They were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks, losing home-court advantage in the series.
Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been the leader on both ends of the floor for Minnesota, but that wasn't the case on Wednesday. The 22-year-old finished the game with 19 points, having trouble finding a consistent rhythm. Edwards was visibly fatigued from the Game 7 bout against the Denver Nuggets in the second round.
He spoke on his feelings after the game, mentioning "Just a little tired probably," when referring to costly mistakes in the WCF contest.

It's human nature for a team or player to be mentally and physically drained, especially after a long series, but that is inexcusable for a star like Edwards.
With fandom comes scrutiny and right now Edwards is on the wrong end of the stick for his comments on the game.
