The heist comedy Crew, written by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri, will be available to watch on Netflix from May 24. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon, the film went on to have a successful run at the box office. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the feature follows three air hostesses, Jasmine, Geeta and Divya, who have to resort to illegal means to earn money after the airline they work for goes bankrupt.
Crew on Netflix from May 24
Taking to Instagram, Netflix India revealed the film would be premiering soon. They captioned their post, "Consider our hearts (and sona) officially stolen. Crew is landing on Netflix at midnight!"
In a statement, co-producers Rhea Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor said, "We are thrilled to bring Crew to Netflix after its successful theatrical run. This film dives deep into friendship, deception, and resilience amidst a ton of comic chaos. We can't wait for audiences around the world to experience the suspense, fun and drama exclusively on Netflix. It's a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.”
About the comedy Crew
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network, Crew also features actors Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Dosanjh also contributed to the film's soundtrack as he sang two songs, Naina and Choli Ke Peeche. Other composers on the comedy film include Badshah, Raj Ranjodh, Vishal Mishra, Akshay–IP, Bharg–Rohit.
The Times Now review of the Hindi film stated, "Crew, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, is a film that can be divided into parts and still be enjoyed by the viewers owing to its nature of non-linear storytelling. The first half of the film is completely focused on establishing a cold opening that saw our leading trio getting detained by the customs officers for their alleged involvement in a gold smuggling case. Arguably the first half was somewhat slow in pace due to the need to get the viewers up to date with the ‘present day.’ The second half, however, picks up phenomenally, not only in storytelling but also in the film’s pacing."
