Diwata, known for his overload pares, just sold his first-ever pares pot to Boss Toyo for P3,000.
In a vlog posted on Diwata’s official YouTube account, the internet sensation and entrepreneur was seen personally handing over his pares pot that he has been using since 2020. The encounter was also shared in Boss Toyo's Pinoy Pawnstars vlog on YouTube.
“Ito naman kaya ko binibenta, may sentimental value ito sa akin. Simula noong nag-start akong mag-pares ito talaga ‘yong kaldero ko,” he shared.
Diwata also shared that it was the first pot he used when he started a pares cart in Pasay City. It was also the only thing left to him after his pares cart was taken away during clearing operations.
“Actually 'yung cart ko wala na 'yun eh, na-clearing din 'yun eh, kinuha ng clearing operations, hindi ko na natubos. Ito, naiwan 'yung kaldero ko. May butas na siya pero pwede namang tagpian na lang natin," he said.
In the end, Boss Toyo and Diwata agreed to a price of P3,000 for the pares pot.
Before giving his most prized possession to Boss Toyo, Diwata signed the pot.
Diwata, whose real name is Deo Balbuena, has been viral for his 24-hour overload pares business on Diokno Boulevard in Pasay City.
According to a 24 Oras Weekend report by Vonne Aquino, Diwata first headlined the news in 2016 after he was involved in a scuffle with his two friends.
It is said in the report that the scuffle began after his two friends got angry when Diwata sent them out of his home under a bridge in Pasay because he caught them using illegal drugs. He suffered from a wound on the forehead after allegedly being stabbed by his friend.
In an interview at the Pasay City Police Station following the scuffle, Diwata uttered his iconic line that quickly became viral: “Nagmula sa kalangitan, lumagapak sa kalupaan. Narito na sa inyong harapan ang nag-iisang Diwata na mukhang kawatan."
