Actor and TV host Vhong Navarro is set to star in an exciting new project with actress Bea Alonzo, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Erik Matti.

Navarro shared the news on Friday via his Instagram account, posting a photo with Alonzo, veteran actors Joey Marquez and Joel Torre, and Matti.

“Finally! Madi-direk ulit ni Direk Erik Matti since Gagamboy. Maraming salamat sa tiwala! Excited na ako, Direk!” Navarro wrote, expressing his excitement about working with Matti again after their successful collaboration on the 2004 comedy film ‘Gagamboy.’

Director Matti also posted the same photo on his social media accounts, commenting, “Nagkita kita lang. Nagkuwentuhan. Nagkamustahan. Masaya! Next time ulit, Vhong, Tsong, Joel, and Bea!”

This upcoming film will mark Navarro’s return to the big screen since his last movie, ‘Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim,’ which was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2020.
