'Dumb phones' becoming a real trend as people seek 'digital detox'
There is a “real trend” where we are looking at pulling away from being so involved on social media with our
devices, says Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech.
Mr Fenech joined Sky News presenter Tim Gilbert to discuss the rise of purchases for devices known as “dumb phones”.
“Nokia, they were one of the top brands at the turn of the century, back in 1999 they released a little product called the 3210 which sold like 160 million units and Nokia has decided to revive that,” he said.

“There is a lot of people who want to do the digital detox.
“The popularity of these dumb phones is actually on the rise because it does give people that escape.”
