The Vegas Golden Knights have invited University of Maine centremen, Harrison Scott to their development camp.
Born on Sept. 27, 2000, the 6'0, 185 lbs left-handed centremen played 37 games last season with Maine scoring 15 goals and 27 points. Playing on a talented Maine roster that included the likes of the Nadeau brothers, Scott finished third on the team in goals and fourth in points.
Born in San Jose, California, Scott has played in numerous junior leagues as he works to one day play in the NHL. His path before joining Maine includes 48 games in the BCHL, 56 games in the NAHL, 58 games in the MPHL and 65 games with Bentley University.
The 23-year-old was one of the best faceoff men in the entire country during the 2023-24 season. He's a defensively responsible forward with offensive upside.
A strong development camp and another good season with Maine could land Scott an entry-level contract with a team next year. He has the tools and smarts to possibly be a bottom-six centre in the future.
The Golden Knights have now invited six NCAA prospects to their 2024 development camp.
