The Edmonton Oilers lost — but these die-hard fans who travelled to Florida have 'no regrets'
It was really good. I think the Canadians out tiered the Panther fans actually or louder. Plus we had some people from back home that come and found us. It was really nice to see them. They actually come to our where we were sitting and they knew we were there. They come to find us. Hey, that's great. And it was great that the Canadians fans represent. The Canadian fans represented so well. They stayed right to the end. They were right in the thick of things all the way through. There's one more piece of video that you sent. I think of you kind of walking through the crowd to give us a perspective of all the Oilers fans who were there in their jerseys. It it seems like it was a real party atmosphere. Victor. Well, definitely was. Each time you heard the Panthers cheer, they're drowned out by Canadians. So that's the that was the excitement that was there. We didn't finish, but that's fine. I mean, I know we can always say that there's another year, but we did very well this year to make it this far. I felt sorry for the Oiler players and I've seen them in the ice. It's a little bit of an emotional moment for many, I guess, and many of the fans that were there, but also fans from back home. So, Eugene, I have one last question for you before one final question. What a lot of people been saying, hey, Florida got to the finals last year and then this year they won the Cup. You've been such a long time Oilers fans. What are fan? What are your hopes for for next season Eugene? Well, I got nothing but the positive things to say. Hopefully we can bring the cup of next year back home. We have a young team and they made it this far. Just one goal away could have went to overtime, but what can you say? Well, you can say that you had a great trip courtesy of your family. So let's just make sure they get another shout out because they sent you on this secret plan to get you in there to that arena for game seven. I need to know we talked about yesterday how you were hopscotching all over the place to get all the way to Florida. How are you getting home, gentlemen? Victor, what's your plan? No, we're no, we're going to take it easy today. We'll head back tomorrow and it's all scheduled. And I want to just say thank you to all our family for being such a, an unexpected trip for us, both Eugene and I. It's as I'm sending message to all the family last night, those gracious and humbling. And it's a very emotional experience for both of us. We met as Eugene said, we met people from across Canada, but even from back at home, we met people from our PD6 territory territory last night. So it's it's great. I have no no regrets. Last thing I would say is I pull me. Let's not get discouraged like a memo. Let's keep trying. Won't you know we can't give up. There's always another season. Victor, thank you, Eugene, thank you. As you say, an emotional experience, but we've been so happy to sharing it with you. What fun to meet you too. Gentlemen, enjoy your day off today and enjoy Florida and safe travels home. Thank you. Have a good day.
