When you want your makeup to last all day, ensuring you’re setting it with a loose powder is the perfect way to ensure your look stays in place without creasing, smudging or cakiness.

Coined by impressed users as ‘the most beautiful powder ever’, Huda Beauty's Easy Bake setting powder is the brand’s best-selling product, garnering over 20,000 impressive reviews since its release.

Set to leave a perfected complexion, the light and silky powder sinks seamlessly into the skin, leaving it matte with a hint of sheen for a luminous finish that controls shine throughout the day.

Keeping makeup in place without creasing, it also works to absorb shine and oil for gorgeously fresh makeup that lasts from the second you apply it to the moment you take it off.

Available in 10 shades to suit a huge range of skin tones, including last-year’s release Cherry Blossom Cake which is ideal for fair to medium skin tones or those who want a naturally brightened look, the Huda Beauty setting powder has become a staple product in the makeup sets of the many.

Each powder also works to subtly colour correct and highlight the different contours of the face, leaving a translucent veil on your skin without any flashback in photos.

But how do you bake? If, like me, you’re more of a pressed powder person, then you might find yourself alarmed by the idea of a pot of bright pink powder. But it’s actually pretty simple.

The brand recommends applying a generous layer of powder under the eyes, T-zone, laugh lines, outer corners of the mouth and chin, letting the powder ‘bake’ (sit on the skin) for three to five minutes, and then gently dusting away excess.

And the proof of the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder’s effectiveness is in the pudding.

In a test with 20 people, everyone agreed their pores and fine lines looked blurred for up to 7 hours, their under-eye area looked instantly brighter, and it was easy to set their makeup with Easy Bake.

Described by shoppers as leaving skin ‘brightened’ with a ‘filter effect’, it would be an understatement to say users were loving the results of the new Cherry Blossom shade of the powder.

‘Best setting powder hands down,' raved one impressed five-star shopper. ‘I used the cherry blossom shade to set after using a Huda Beauty concealer and I swear it left such a smooth finish. No creases. No nothing.’

Another wrote: ‘It‘s the MOST BEAUTIFUL POWDER EVER! It gives you a filter effect! Totally worth the hype!’

‘This powder is so extremely fine that it gives a smoothing, blurring effect to the face!,' added a third. ‘No cakiness, no cracking, does not settle into my fine lines, I absolutely love it.’

But what did I think? Now, I’ll admit, despite being a makeup lover and constantly experimenting with makeup, I’ve never used a loose powder. I always just assumed that it would leave my skin thick and cakey and, as someone who now veers towards softer and more natural looks, this terrified me.

So, when I went to test this Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder in Cherry Blossom Cake, I was nervous – and the colour also had a lot to do with this.

But when I say this powder may have just completely changed the makeup game for me I really mean it.

My results: Though I feared a thick and cakey effect, my skin was left smooth, matte and absolutely flawless after applying the weightless powder

Weightless and super finely milled, this powder applied like a dream, instantly brightening my under eyes, allowing me to carve out more shape across my face and snatch my cheekbones.

I was left with an utterly blurred, filter finish that I’ve never seen on my skin before. It was flawless.

The pink wasn’t too pink and instead really complimented my skin tone, leaving me looking more awake while setting all my cream products in place. Better yet, it blended in beautifully with my blush.

There was no creasing under my eyes, no cakiness, just a smooth, glowing yet matte finish that I’m now never going to be able to be without while doing my makeup.

This product is a 10/10 for me. If you’ve been on the fence about buying it then this is your sign to snap one up today. Your smooth, faultless complexion will thank you.
