ALBAWABA - This past Friday, June 28, Megan Thee Stallion released her third studio album, which includes the single "Rattle." Below, you can hear the second stanza of the song, in which Hot Girl Meg seems to have a few words to say about her rival Nicki Minaj.
"It looks like you're doing well. How about you amp up your energy? The wealthy should be careful with their backs." Megan raps on the LilJuMadeDaBeat-produced hit, "Girl," since "they'll f**k around" and stay with her nemesis. " It's hard to believe that four years have passed. You should be concerned for your partner and your child. It must be tedious for you to reminisce about our shared experiences. Regarding the bitter-b**ch link-up, I am not concerned (Uh-uh).They're now official members of the fan club because of you (Ah).This man thinks she's TMZ, but I've got tea.
Their only collaboration, "Hot Girl Summer," from four years ago, featured Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. But in 2021, things got heated when Nicki seemed to trash Megan on "Seeing Green" and then claimed that Megan encouraged her to drink while pregnant—a fact that Megan vehemently rejected. Megan released the top-charting single "Hiss" earlier this year, in which she shadows Nicki after several subliminal jabs. Young Money's Rhymesayer clapped back during "Big Foot."
Minaj did not feel at home in the bar. She dropped "Big Foot" quickly, satirizing an event in which Tory Lanez, a jailed singer, shot Megan in the foot.
"Rattle" seems to be Megan's attempt to deal with the aftermath of her fight with Minaj, namely the rapper's decision to bring out JT, Bia, Maliibu Miitch, Katie Got Bandz, and Akbar V at an April stop on her "Pink Friday 2" global tour. "I was trying to get everyone here with me, but I was too extroverted," she raps. "I was under the impression that everything was fine, but the whole time you were my enemy. The only time you're in sync is when you're all plotting to undermine me. "The only time you and your feeble hulks band together is when some skank tries to eliminate me."
Her second stanza, when she becomes more forthright, references their 2019 duet "Hot Girl Summer." "My goodness, it's been four years. I'm concerned about your partner and your child. Your life must be quite uninteresting if you're still dwelling on our past. I'm not worried about the bigger picture. You guys are the ones who earned seats in the fan club."
Her third studio album, "Megan," marks her first release on her own single, Hot Girl Productions, following her departure from 300 Entertainment and 1501 Certified. "Hiss," "Boa," and "Cobra" are among the tracks from the album, which also has collaborations with UGK, GloRilla, and Victoria Monét.
