The federal government has announced record funding for Australia's high-performance athletes.
Over the next two years, nearly half a billion dollars will be spent preparing young sportspeople for Olympic glory.
At a press conference announcing the increased funding, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said, "The bottom line is I want to set up our youngest Australians for success at our own Olympic games in Brisbane in 2032."
