AI ‘may be’ the catalyst for a new hardware replacement cycle: Analyst
How do you think Micron is stacking up against some of the memory competitors in specifically in high bandwidth memory sector? High bandwidth memory sector is you know right now based on what they said in their call, they are essentially sold out this year and next year. So I think the demand for that particular high bandwidth memory selling into that that goes into AI chips is something that is really seeing a lot of strong demand. So I'm not sure you know how the overall environment. Really compares, but what I would say is that you know you're seeing a very strong. You know, supply and demand dynamic happening around. AI that's really supporting that specific business. You know, the CEO said in the statement that smartphone and PC markets do remain sluggish. Do you think, though, that the AI component could actually drive demand for new phones and new PCs? That's the $1,000,000 question. That's the the potential story around Apple, for example, you know, could AI essentially be a catalyst for a new replacement cycle for hardware, You know, whether it be. Whether it be smartphones or new laptops, the AI compute and the capabilities that go along with it may be a very nice catalyst to start a new replacement cycle for those hardware items. And that that would be a very exciting investment story.
