Tottenham are closing in on a deal for Leeds teenager Archie Gray after Brentford's move for the midfielder collapsed.
Talks between Spurs and Leeds for the 18-year-old are progressing well, with expectation that a package worth in the region of £35million can be reached.
Defender Joe Rodon, who spent last season on loan at Leeds, could be included in the deal in part-exchange, which is still being discussed.
Gray is keen on the move to north London and personal terms and a medical are expected to be a formality.
The England Under-21 international, who can play in central midfield or right-back, would compete for a place in Ange Postecoglou's first-team for the coming season.
Gray initially agreed personal terms with Brentford before the Bees proposal worth £35m was knocked back by Leeds over the structure of the deal.
Spurs want to add a homegrown midfielder to Postecoglou's squad this summer and have also tracked Chelsea's Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey.
However, Spurs' interest in Gallagher is expected to cool now that yesterday's June 30 financial deadline has passed, though the England international remains in the final year of his contract which means a bid is not completely off the table.
A move for Ramsey is likely to be contingent on Villa accepting Giovani Lo Celso in part-exchange, with Spurs again facing a challenge to shift unwanted deadwood this summer.
Spurs this morning announced BetMGM as the club’s new betting and training-wear partner.
