Mark Cuban's remarks about Donald Trump and Joe Biden went viral this weekend following the first presidential election debate on Thursday.
Trump and Biden are the presumptive Republican and Democratic party nominees for 2024, after winning enough delegate votes in the presidential primaries.
In a post shared to X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, Cuban said he asked ChatGPT which politician the AI bot would hire for a job, based on a transcript of the televised debate broadcast from CNN's Atlanta studio.
The business mogul said he tasked the generative AI tool with choosing the best candidate based on "communication skills, clarity, problem-solving abilities, and overall professionalism."
According to Cuban's post, the pros for Biden include "extensive experience in public service," "empathy" and "social awareness." However, the cons for the 81-year-old included a lack of "coherence and clarity" and "focus and consistency."
For Trump, Cuban said the bot applauded Trump's "assertiveness and confidence" and "economic focus," citing the 78-year-old's emphasis on "financial performance and business acumen."
However, Cuban wrote that ChatGPT criticized the former president for using "hyperbole and exaggeration," slamming his "grandiose claims" that might "raise concerns about his reliability."
Cuban also said the bot called out Trump for a "lack of specifics," suggesting the Republican tended to "avoid providing detailed plans or solutions."
Concluding his post, Cuban said that ChatGPT would not choose either candidate for a job based on the debate results.
"It would be challenging to decisively hire either candidate without further evaluation of their professional capabilities and specific job fit," the post read.
Since being shared on Sunday, Cuban's post has received over 3.3 million views.
Newsweek has reached out to Mark Cuban and Donald Trump for comment via email and Joe Biden via contact form.
Although his post suggests dissatisfaction with both the likely Democratic and Republican candidates for November's election, Cuban has so far thrown his support behind the president.
In March, the entrepreneur told Bloomberg that in a race between Biden and Trump, he'd always choose Biden, even if the president was "being given last rites."
During Biden's 2020 campaign run, Cuban—who became a household name after appearing as an investor in the ABC reality show Shark Tank—described Biden as "the right choice for business."
However, the 65-year-old pharmaceutical billionaire has also criticized the president, accusing Biden of being "too silent" during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, Cuban shared his thoughts on the debate between Trump and Biden.
The former Dallas Mavericks owner called Biden's performance during the debate with Trump "awful," but also hit out at his Republican rival.
On X, Cuban accused Trump of being unable to "directly answer a single question," suggesting the real estate tycoon "lied with every response."
"The question is what features voters believe make a better POTUS," Cuban wrote.
"Feeble, Capable and Ethical vs Vigorous, Unethical and Incapable of telling the truth. I'll vote ethical every time."
