1-on-1 with Corey Heim ahead of his double duty at Nashville
Here in the Truck Series garage with Tricon driver Corey Haim. Corey, heck of a season for you so far. I mean, second season full time in the Truck Series and you've already accomplished just as much as you did in the entirety of your last season. How do you describe this season as a whole and the opportunities that it's president's team? I mean, it's certainly been a roller coaster for me. You know, especially when you mentioned this two cup starts, that last second opportunity. Super grateful for that with Legacy Motor Club and you know, as you mentioned as well, just really good Truck Series season four so far so. You know, it's been a lot with a lot of double duty races and whatnot, but just trying to, you know, win opportunities and try to do the best I can on a weekly basis. Reflecting on those Cup Series starts, you mentioned getting kind of thrown into the first one there unexpectedly and then having a little bit of more time to prep for that second. How have you grown through those two starts? Definitely been a lot. I mean, as everyone knows, cup is the the top level. Those guys are the best for a reason. And that's definitely a lot of competition. So you know, between those two starts, I mean, I had a lot of same time and with the late notice and whatnot is definitely tough. But you know, going to Nashville 2311 in a month, being able to reflect on this C Cup starts and build off of those two cup starts, it's gonna be big for me. So it's it's a big opportunity coming up and I'm looking forward to it. How has the preparation for Nashville different than the preparation for those other two stars? I think the main thing is just, you know, being able to actually look over things and watch these cup races now with with the purpose. I think before I, you know, you can watch it all you want, but you have really no idea what you're looking at. I mean, you never really know to get behind the wheel. So being able to reflect off of my two cup starts and now watch these races leading up to with the purpose and kind of understanding what I'm looking at and what I'm looking for can take some development. I know I had a lot to work on and my teacup starts this year so far and I'm hoping to learn on a weekly basis and I think I'll get there pretty quick.
