WNBA Fans Moved By Caitlin Clark and Diana Taurasi's Pregame Interaction
One of the most highly anticipated matchups of the 2024 WNBA season featured rookie Caitlin Clark and veteran Diana Taurasi. The Indiana Fever were set to play a primetime matchup on ESPN against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. Before the game, Clark and Taurasi shared a quick interaction that had fans buzzing.
Taurasi and Clark shared a pregame hug, showing clear respect for one another.
"This is heartwarming vets and the next generation," said one fan.
There were questions surrounding how Taurasi and Clark would interact after Taurasi sent a subtle jab at the rookie with her "Reality is coming" comment before the 2024 season. Despite that remark, the two made sure to embrace one another.
"Class move by DT and BG. Great sportsmanship to begin the game. I actually enjoy the WNBA more than I did the NBA this year. Go Caitlin," said another fan.
