The Columbus Blue Jackets are set to make the #4 pick in tonight's NHL draft

THN's Tony Ferrari has offered up his expert opinion on who he thinks will get drafted to which team in tonight's NHL Draft.
Rumors about the Columbus Blue Jackets being open to trading the #4 overall pick have started to spread. The Philadelphia Flyers are apparently trying hard to get that pick from Columbus, but fans of the CBJ are hoping new GM Don Waddell holds on to that pick. Other fans, however, are waiting for him to pull the trigger on extra assets.
So who does Ferrari think the Blue Jackets will pick? The answer is defenseman Sam Dickinson from the London Knights of the OHL.
He says about Dickinson:
Columbus doesn’t have any glaring need in their pipeline so they can go different ways. With David Jiricek and Denton Mateychuk headlining their blueline group, adding a guy like Dickinson could make a lot of sense. Dickinson is a left-shot but showed the ability to play both sides. He could end up being the most well-rounded defender they have and eat a ton of minutes for them down the line.
THN Columbus wrote about Sam Dickinson and you can check that out below.
This pick would make total sense for the Jackets. The connection between the Blue Jackets and London Knights can't be ignored. Knights Co-Owner Basil McRae also works for Columbus as Director of Player Personnel, so we can only assume that the CBJ watched him a lot this past season.
The Blue Jackets can't go wrong with the number 4 pick unless they go completely off the board or take a wild reach on a player. Names like Sam Dickinson, Cayden Lindstrom, Ivan Demidov, and Zeev Buium are the most talked about choices at 4.
Unless Columbus decides to trade the pick, they're going to get a game-changer. I for one hope they keep the pick.
