Tyler Hubbard discusses his solo career
All right, so we're counting continuing our All American Summer Concert series today with the great Tyler Hubbard. He is a country music powerhouse and continues to solidify his solo career success with his latest album. It's called Strong and it's available everywhere. And he's going on tour in September getting the word out about strongly. He's headlining. Tyler Hubbard, Welcome back to Fox and Friends. Great to see you. It's been a minute. You sound fantastic in the morning. So you're not one of those guys who was partying all night and went right to the announcer. You don't smell like album Easy last night. I've been up since, like, 4:00 AM, So the voice is officially warmed up now. So. All right. I heard you had a big day with Brian yesterday. We did. Walked around, ate some pizza, had a good old time. And that pizza place was significant because. Well, it's special to me because they, they knew who I was way before anybody in New York City knows knew who I was, which nobody really still does. But yeah, they've, they've been big fans of me and my music for a while. So we go in there and stop by every time we come to the city. And it's good luck for you. It's good luck. Yeah, it's good pizza and good luck. I'm curious. I'm sorry. I probably was about to ask the same question. How's the solo career going, man? It's going great. I've had a lot of fun. I've been super busy, been out on tour with Kane Brown and like you said, just put out my second album. So we're really kind of feeling like I'm in my groove. I'm feeling super creative and having a lot of fun with it. Me and the band out on the road after the pandemic and all those years of of kind of the unknown and you know, not being able to play live music and stuff like that. Man, I just got so much gratitude and I'm just so thankful and it's giving me a lot of new energy. So I'm feeling really excited and like I said, grateful. I remember seeing you guys when you were with Florida Georgia Line and y'all were just getting started and it was a small venue and then you became so big. Congratulations on that. And now with your solo career, you have three number ones and just one that's from the first album, right? Or is that? Yeah, one of them is from my second album. So I just released my fourth single to radio and yeah, it's all working. It's all. I feel so supported and loved. And the radio has been really good to me and the fans have been incredible. And Speaking of those small venues, I'm getting to go back and open up for other acts and be in arenas, but also go and play, play my own stuff and kind of these smaller rooms and clubs and theaters. Like we talked about that where I kind of fell in love with it the first go around. So it's been fun. And you and Brian Kelly have gone you separate ways for solo album. He's also putting out albums too. You know, Don Henley did a solo thing, went back to the Eagles. Phil Collins did a solo thing, went back to Genesis. Do you see one time you and BK getting back together and having both things going? You know, I like to never say never, but I will say I'm in a really good place right now. And it's it's kind of hard to predict the future, as we all know. So right now I'm just fully focused and got my, you know, got my eyes set on the solo career and what that looks like down the road and the controversy and the controversy real quick. The controversy that I unveiled yesterday. You wrote a song about your wife. 5 foot nine. Oh, yeah. But the problem, Tyler, is what? What is the problem? Well, she was a little taller than that. She's actually top 10. So that. And did Did you try 510? And it just not sound good. You know, I got to make her 59. If I'm being really honest, I don't even know if I knew that my wife was 510 until I got home that afternoon. Well, it's a great song. What? Number one. Thank you. Do you all have kids yet? We have three kids. Are they all tall? They actually are pretty tall. Yeah. So congratulations. And he never misses a kids event too. Well, I don't know if I'd say never. I try. I try to make as many as I can. But you're gonna perform a little bit more. A little bit. Yeah, that's right. You guys actually interrupted. We had a great show going out. I apologize, people. Crazy. Hey.
