Prince William dances to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake it off’ at concert with kids
Prince William celebrated his 42nd birthday with pop royalty and Taylor Swift show Friday night. The Prince was spotted busting a move. In this clip, catcher by one concert goer. William is seen letting loose in the stand, dancing along to the hit Shake It Off Well. After the show, the mega * snapped a selfie backstage with William and two of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The Royals also pose for a selfie with Swift and her boyfriend, NFL * Travis Kelsey. Well, this was the first of eight shows Swift is performing at Wembley Stadium as part of her blockbuster Eras Tour. Well, for more on this, I'm joined now by Will Richards. He's a senior writer for Rolling Stone UK and attended the Friday night show. Will, were you busting a move like Prince William? Absolutely. Yeah, It was for the first couple of hours at least. She played for 3 1/2 hours. So my my back was going a little bit by the end, but I was trying my best. And what were the highlights? Talk us through them. I think the point of the show, I think, is that you can choose your own highlights. It's the era's sort of framing for the tour means that fans from all across her career can get involved. You know, there's a big culture of dressing up as your favorite era, whether it's one of the newer albums or herself titled album from right at the start. Personally, I was really excited to see the songs from the new album, the torture poets department, which has been added for the European leg of the talks. The album only came out in April. So that was that was really special to see that part. And obviously pop royalty with with real royalty. You got Prince William and his two children or two of his his three children having selfies with with Taylor Swift. I mean, what does that image in itself, what, what does that say about Taylor Swift and where her place in this world? I think it shows that if yeah, anyone who's anyone wants to be at this tour, it's one of the biggest cultural moments of 2024 in the UK. You know, the Labour Party leader Keir Starmer was also at the show. And there's a general election in two weeks. You know, it's, it's a good thing to be seen at this tour and be part of something so massive.
