[WATCH] ‘Skeem Saam’: Molefi Monaisa returns as Wallet

Fan-favourite actor Molefi Monaisa who took a break from Skeem Saam in 2021 will reprise his role this week

INSIDE WALLET’S RETURN

The educational soapie, Skeem Saam shared a teaser of Wallet on X on Friday (Thursday, 28 June).

“As the community of Turf absorbs the breaking news, someone unexpected emerges on the street,” says the soapie.

In the teaser, viewers see a man wearing a hat and brown jacket holding a briefcase and walking away, just like Wallet.

The TVSA June, season twelve finale teaser confirms that someone unexpected will emerge on the Turfloop street.

Friday 28 June “As the community of Turf absorbs the breaking news, someone unexpected emerges on the street.”

Fans of the popular actor took to social media on Friday to celebrate the poetic character’s return.

‘SKEEM SAAM’ SEASON 13: HARRIET MANAMELA ALSO RETURNS

Fan-favourite actress Harriet Manamela will also return to Skeem Saam to take over the character of Meikie Maputla.

Manamela, who’s been playing Meikie since season one returns after recovering from her hip surgery.

The legendary actress announced on Monday, 6 May that she had hip replacement surgery at the beginning of the year.

“I had a hip replacement surgery beginning of the year hence I was given a break from shooting. Thank you to everyone for wishing me well. Even though there was no clear explanation why I had to be off the screen and production had to find a sit in for me.

Her character was temporarily played by legendary actress Florence Masebe, who bid the soapie farewell this week.

Season 13 of the award-winning soapie premieres on Monday, 1 July.
