DeVonta Smith Approves Of Nick Sirianni's New Role
The Philadelphia Eagles have made some coaching changes as coach Nick Sirianni handed over play-calling duties to new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore giving him a “30,000-foot view” of everything that is going on. Or as they said down in Dallas, he’s a “walk-around coach.”

“Like he said, it gives him time to do a lot more, to see a lot more, and I think that’s a good thing," said Smith. “When the head man has the power to put his hands on everything, to see everything, it makes it easier on himself, it makes it easier on us, because sometimes that we may see, he may not see because he was focused on something on just one thing so much.
“But for him to be able to look over everything, now, it’s like, OK, he’s not blind with something now. Now we can talk to him because he knows what’s going on with everything.”
Being able to oversee everything allows Sirianni to focus his attention to places that really need it. Rumors circulated last year that he was so focused on the offense that he neglected the defense, and it showed.
The Philadelphia pass defense finished 31 out of 32 teams and was a key component on their late-season collapse.
With his eyes on the whole team, Philadelphia hopes that change translates into another Super Bowl run this season.
