Quebec & The Maritimes face Sunday storm risk
The Trans Canada storm that brought storms to the Prairies. Ontario makes its debut in Atlantic Canada as well as southern Quebec, bringing about a severe possible risk on Sunday for the Eastern Townships as well as New Brunswick for strong wind gusts, small hail and even a chance at a tornado or two. Now these thunderstorms, look at those dark purples and almost black colors indicate very strong thunderstorms. We've got quite a bit of energy packed in with this as well ahead of this cold front. Look at those Reds through Fredericton, even up to Bathurst. Could be seeing some pretty intense thunderstorms but they will quickly dissipate through the late evening into the overnight. Could generally see maybe about 20 to 30mm throughout the Fredericton area. The gas base you're getting the most of the rain and Nova Scotia got into some rain earlier on Sunday and these temperatures just scream thunderstorm. It is a 31 humidex in Fredericton, which is where the storms will be taking a direct aim.
