Met Office Friday Morning Weather Forecast 28/06/2024
Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Friday morning. It's been a lively night with coastal girls across the north and northwest. And in fact, it's all down to an area of low pressure, which has replaced high pressure and it's influencing particularly the northern half of the UK through today. But the winds will ease through Friday. And in fact, during the weekend, we'll see some quiet weather away from the West where the air will become more humid and we'll see more cloud and also some patchy rain, even some showers on Sunday towards the far South. Wet start to the day across much of Scotland with some persistent rain across the far north. A strong wind coming in from the northwest. A cool start and some showery bursts of rain. Drier skies just about across the eastern strip. A few showers, few showers and some sunshine for Northern Ireland. Frequent showers across northern England and those showers extend down towards northern and the middle part of Wales. Further South and E. Some much more comfortable night leading into a fresher start to today with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Bit breezy, but the winds will head through Friday and into the weekend. Through Friday morning you can see where the strongest winds, outbreaks of rain become confined to the far north and northwest of Scotland. Elsewhere, we'll see a scattering of sunshine and showers during the afternoon. These showers across middle and northern parts of Wales, northern England, central, eastern and southern parts of Scotland, a few coming in across Northern Ireland. Across the bulk of England and Wales, again, we'll see patchy cloud but also some sunshine, but temperatures are coming in around 19 to 22°C. Fourteen, 1516 for Scotland and 17 or 18 across Northern Ireland. Fairly pleasant evening to come away from central and northern areas of Scotland where again there will be a keen wind and some showery bursts. However, through the night a muggy feel to things extending across Wales, the West Country, as this plume of clouds and some patchy rain arrives. It's a bit of a bit of a damp start to Saturday. Across these parts elsewhere, a bit of a cool start across eastern Scotland with some clearer skies and you'll see some sunshine across the northern half of the UK away from the far north where we continue to see those showers. Always more clouds and some patchy rain and drizzle just extending across Wales, even the northwest of England and clipping the far South of Northern Ireland through Saturday we hang on to some fine conditions further E with some sunshine and temperatures higher than today. 22 to 25°C, sixteen to 18 further north with few showers and your outlook through Sunday. It looks like this. It's a fine day, a light breeze, the cloud coming and going, some sunshine, but a few showers across the far South. Have a lovely day. I'll see you later.
