Laikipia - The church service at Nyahururu ACK church has proceeded smoothly, with the clergy advising political leaders to abstain from discussing politics from the pulpit.

Traditionally, politicians have utilised church platforms to communicate with their supporters and counter their opponents.
However, during the service on Sunday, June 23, a different approach was taken as the clergy firmly declined to entertain political speeches.
This decision was influenced by warnings from Gen Zs, who had cautioned the presiding bishop of St. Mark ACK church against allowing supporters of the finance bill to address the congregation.
Despite the clergy's stance, youth demonstrators gathered outside the church and began chanting protest songs.
"Reject! reject! reject! Yote yawezekana bila Ruto, yote yawezekana bila Ruto," their voices could be heard.
