Super Eagles defender, Benjamin Tanimu has described Bendel Insurance coach Monday Odigie as a no-nonsense tactician.
Tanimu revealed that the coach encourages players to reach their peak.
The combative defender who was discovered by the experienced tactician played a crucial role in Bendel Insurance’s 2023 Federation Cup win.
Tanimu currently plays in the Tanzania league for IHEFU SC.
“Coach Monday is a great man, full of wisdom, lovely to be with, a no-nonsense man, and one every player would appreciate working with,” he stated during his visit to Bendel Insurance training camp on Friday.
“Odigie will “press” you on the pitch to bring out the best in you. Behind the scenes, he’s a very calm and gentle man who cares and always looks out for his players — indeed a Father Figure.
“I wish him well ahead of the team’s match against Bayelsa United on Sunday.”
Monday Odigie’s side will be in action against Bayelsa United in their final Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, match at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Sunday.
