What is Warriors Biggest Goal This Offseason?
Now that the NBA Finals have concluded, the offseason has officially started. As a result of some free agency decisions, this could be a busy time for the Golden State Warriors.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Grant Hughes, he outlines every NBA team's number one goal to accomplish this offseason. For the Warriors, he thinks they should try everything to re-sign Klay Thompson, but he thinks they should make sure that they do not overpay.
"Warriors ownership has voiced a desire to get out of the luxury tax, which means general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. won't have a blank check, even if sentiment might push him toward overpaying for one of the most important figures in franchise history," Hughes writes. "That means the Dubs need to settle on a number that allows them to duck the tax and satisfies Thompson. That's a tough needle to thread."
There have been a lot of indicators that Thompson may be leaving Golden State, such as him unfollowing the team on Instagram. But the Warriors need to look past that and make an offer that the veteran would be happy with.
Thompson is one of the most important players in the history of the franchise, so him retiring with the Warriors is the dream. The Dubs may not have much time left with their veteran core, so keeping Thompson and going on one more deep playoff run would be the dream scenario.
