Analyst Critical Of Russell Wilson Says Arthur Smith Is The Right Guy For Steelers QB's Success
Former NFL offensive lineman and current analyst Mark Schlereth has been highly critical of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson lately.
Schlereth gave some advice to Wilson on a recent appearance of NFL Live.

“If he can’t get it done in this offense, he might as well go ahead and retire and get a tee time with me, (Dan) Orlovsky and (Dan) Graziano," he said.
Schlereth even said he thinks Wilson's time in Denver is just filled with excuses and he is "delusional."
"I think when you're delusional, you think you can point the finger at eight million different places that say 'This is why this happened,'" Schlereth said. "That toxic positivity and surrounding yourself with people that basically tell you, 'It's not your fault, man'" he continued.
But Schlereth does think there's a way for Wilson to be successful in Pittsburgh, and it has everything to do with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
"I love Arthur Smith being there. If anybody is gonna get the best out of either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson, I feel like it's Arthur Smith," Schlereth said on his podcast.
"I like their football team in general. Just a lot of questions about their quarterback position and what that offense is gonna look like. George Pickens is outstanding. I think [Pat] Freiermuth is a big-time tight end. they've got the two running backs in Najee Harris ... [and] Jaylen Warren. Jaylen Warren can play. I think they're built the right way."
It's a make-or-break time for the Cincinnati, Ohio native who hopes to resurrect his career with the Steelers. But the pressure is on because just weeks after signing Wilson to a free agent deal after he was unceremoniously cut from the Broncos, Pittsburgh facilitated a trade for former first-rounder Justin Fields.
This might be Wilson's last chance at success outside of Seattle and he needs to take every advantage he can.
