Josh Giddey is poised to join the Chicago Bulls in a trade that will see Alex Caruso head to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to reports.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski claims the Bulls are set to trade two-time All Defensive Guard Caruso in order to bring Thunder guard Giddey to Chicago this summer.
The proposed deal does not appear to include draft compensation going either way - after the Bulls had reportedly been offered first-round picks for Caruso in several previous deals.
According to CHGO's Will Gottlieb, the Bulls turned down several offers for Caruso ahead of the 2024 trade deadline, including one that wound up in the top 10 of this year's draft.
Caruso finished the season with a career-high 10.1 points per game along with one block and 1.7 steals per contest.

The NBA makes a huge decision about its investigation into accusations Josh Giddey had sex with a minor

Giddey endured a rocky 2023-24 season in Oklahoma after being accused of having an improper relationship with a teenage girl, only to be cleared of those allegations earlier this year.
The NBA had been investigating the claims against Giddey but ended its probe in March.
Police in Newport Beach, California, also announced in January they wouldn't pursue charges against Giddey.
Giddey was never suspended following the allegations and continued to play as the Thunder eventually lost in the second round of the playoffs.
However, the Aussie saw his minutes cut in the postseason and could benefit from a change of scenery in Chicago.
Caruso, meanwhile, will be eligible for a four-year, $80million extension six months from today.
He's established himself as one of the league's best perimeter defenders since joining the Lakers as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2017-18 season.
