The first peak into the Colorado Avalanche's 2024-25 season was unveiled Thursday. The team will play six exhibition games against the Dallas Stars, Utah Hockey Club and Vegas Golden Knights.
Three games will be at Ball Arena and the other three will be on the opposing teams' home ice.
Sept. 23 vs. Dallas, 7 p.m. MT at Ball Arena
Sept. 27 at Dallas, 6 p.m. MT at American Airlines Center
Sept. 29 vs. Utah, 5 p.m. MT at Ball Arena
Oct. 1 vs. Vegas, 7 p.m. MT at Ball Arena
Oct. 3 at Vegas, 8 p.m. MT at T-Mobile Arena
Oct. 5 at Utah, 5 p.m. MT at Maverik Center
The Avs' first preseason game last season was Sept. 24, 2023 so the dates should indicate when training camp will begin. Media Day was Sept. 20, 2023 and camp opened the next morning.
Training camp and exhibition games allow young players who are trying to earn a spot on the roster to showcase their talent. They also give veteran players the opportunity to bond and develop chemistry with each other and new additions.
Individual game tickets for pre- and regular-season will go on sale when the 2024-25 schedule is announced at a later date.
