Everton are progressing in talks with Leeds United over a fresh loan deal for Jack Harrison.

The 27-year-old made 35 appearances for Everton on loan last season, scoring four goals as he helped the Toffees to securing another year in the Premier League under Sean Dyche.

Harrison is contracted to Leeds until 2028 having signed a new deal in April last season, though the Whites were relegated just weeks later and Harrison faced the dilemma of whether to play in the Championship again.

A solution was worked, and he headed to Everton in August, missing the start of the Championship campaign with Leeds through injury.

Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Diego Llorente, Marc Roca and Maximillian Wober also left on loan as the club tried to negotiate their way through their relegation.

Harrison, who started his career at Manchester City before moving to Leeds in 2018, would be the Toffees' first signing of the summer.

They are juggling a number of midfield targets too having enquired about Aston Villa's Tim Iroegbunam and Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips.

Dyche's side have set their focus on rebuilding thier midfield, with Andre Gomes leaving the club at the end of his contract and Dele Alli's future still unclear.

Iroegbunam has made 19 first team appearances for Villa, and played 32 times for QPR while on loan with the London club in the 2022-23 season.

Phillips, meanwhile, knows his future lies away from City, and is looking to rebuild after missing out on England's Euro 2024 squad on the back of a nightmare loan spell with West Ham.
